Donald F. Murphy, 83, of Caldwell passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014.  He was born June 6, 1930 in Kuna, Idaho, the son of Andrew and Laura (Waldo) Murphy.  Don grew up in the Boise Valley with his 3 sisters and 12 brothers and spent his youth farming with his father. After graduation from Eagle High School, Don joined the National Guard with his brother Lloyd and was stationed in Fort Knox Kentucky.  Amongst his numerous nieces and nephews he was affectionately known as "Uncle Donnie."  After his time with the Guard,  Don returned to the Boise Valley and went to work for McCullough Harvester as a welder.  While there, he met Dave Johnson, and along with Del Woreman founded Ace Supply, Inc. in Caldwell, where Don lived the rest of his life, retiring in 1992.  In 1962 Don met his partner for life, Bonnie Jean Marsh, and the two were married in 1963.  Don and Bonnie raised two boys, and were blessed with two wonderful daughters-in-law and 6 grandchildren.
Don loved The Lord and was a lifelong member of the Caldwell First Christian Church, serving in the church as a deacon and an elder and a friend to all.   Don was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed playing his guitar and making things for his grandkids.  Don was lovingly cared for by Bonnie during his last years.
Don was preceded in death by his mother and father, two sisters, nine brothers and several nieces and nephews.  Don is survived by his wife Bonnie, his son Kevin and wife Kimberly and their children Briana, Brynda, and Patrick of Coeur d Alene, and his son Corey and wife Valerie and their children Christian, Bryce, and Mackenzie of Sunnyside, Washington.  Memorials may be made to Boise Bible College in memory of Don.

Bonnie, I was so sorry to read about Don's passing. My prayers are with you and the family. I was there in Caldwell in August and attended the Christian Church, but don't recall seeing you. Lost Duane two years ago. Bonnie the next time I am in the area I would love to see you. Our God is in control at all times and He will be with you and hold you in the palm of His hand like he has been doing for me. May God bless you and the family. Your friend in Christ. Betsy
