Terri Jo BelleganteJanuary 28, 1971 ~ September 8, 2017 (age 46)
On Friday morning Sept. 8th 2017, the world lost a very precious jewel, Terri Jo Bellegante. Terri was born Jan. 28,1971, giving us 46 years to love her.
She loved us all, both family and friends. She saw the good in everyone and had a heart full of compassion for everyone and anyone in need. She always gave what she could of herself and felt it was never enough, even when she had nothing. She loved all animals, but was especially fond of bears. She and her Luna Bear were inseparable. She had her struggles in life...more than most know, but somehow always found her way back. She would want us all to look up to Heaven's moon and stars to find her. She'll be looking right back at us. She loved, loved, loved the mountains and their hot springs. She was our Little Mountain Mama. She would light up the room with her smile and laughter. She had a heart of gold wrapped in a black leather jacket.
She can now take her beloved dog, Luna Bear, for walks and jerky snacks once again. She was also greeted at heaven's gates, by the best of the best, her grandparents, Earl Suitter, Dorothy Grantham, Eugene & Eunice Bellegante, Dick and Willie Scholes and adopted by all, Granny & Popi Faircloth; not to mention all her great grandparents and great aunts & uncles. She's surrounded by so much love...and I can hear her laughter mixed with her tears for those of us she had to leave behind.
Her son, Quin Nichols Bellegante was her heartbeat, as was her daughter, Megan Cook. There was nothing she wouldn't do for them if she could....and did. She will be waiting with open arms to squeeze the stuffing out of you. She left so many of us behind that will miss her beyond what simple words can express. She left me, her mother Linda Suitter Scholes & Rob, her father Eugene Bellegante & Karen, her mountain of a brother (Alla) Earl Bellegante; her step brother & sister, Raymond and Jennifer Tyvand; and her grandmother Wilma Suitter; so many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews... and her many friends. She loved and appreciated you all so very much. You all lifted her up, with a thought of you, a memory relived, laughter, stories and your gentle touch in her times of need. Some of you have been her ROCK or soft spot to fall at some point in her fragile life. For that we can not thank you enough. She also leaves with so much sadness in his heart, the most amazing friend any one could possibly have, Ross Arbaugh. We love you so much for your kind heart and for taking such good care of our TerBear. She was so blessed... as are we, to have you in our lives and our hearts. Expect the adoption papers in the mail.
Terri would want us all to find peace in our hearts and to remember her in the simple things of life. Maybe its a feather fallen and found in our path, a butterfly on a flower or simply fluttering by, the gentle breeze in the air or that special star in the heavens. She'll never be far away. She loved her Lord and Savior and would hope for us to find comfort in him too.
See you soon sweet baby girl.....
We are planning a "gathering" (as she would say) of family and friends, to celebrate Terri and share our love, laughter, stories, hugs & tears. There will be light refreshments. No glass containers are allowed in the park. We will have some chairs available, but encourage those who would like to or who would be more comfortable seated to bring your own lawn chairs.
Please join us!
