Welcome to the memorial page for

Penny Ann (Johnson) Sower

May 29, 1951 ~ November 9, 2017 (age 66)

Penny was born on May 29, 1951 to the most wonderful parents in the world, Robert and Ruth Johnson with her 1-minute older twin sister Patty leading the way.  Besides the “twins”, there were two brothers Ralph William and Richard Arnold Johnson, both deceased.  They all shared in the love, fun, and closeness like no other family.

She married her soulmate and complete love of her life, Peyton R. “Pat” Sower on November 28, 1986 and together they had a marriage of 27 years that was a fairy tale.  The only other “soulmate” to Penny was her twin sister Patty, who survives her to this day and misses her greatly.  No greater love exists than that of a twin sister.

It is only fate that when Pat & Penny’s symbiotic relationship began, it was in November of 1986.   In November 2013, it suffered its first tragedy when Pat passed away.  Their relationship has now and forever come full circle with Penny joining her soulmate in November of 2017.  It will now be never ending.

Penny was truly grateful for all the support of her many friends that included Bill & Diane Allen, Jim & Kari Miller, Rod Hoskins, Randy & Cheryl Carpenter along with many others from Victor’s.

Penny was a diehard Carolina Panther’s fan and forced her nephew to stand in line for an hour to simply get Jordan Gross’s autograph.  Penny worked for the Simplot Company from 1979 – 2012 retiring after 33 years of dedicated service.

Penny is survived by her 1-minute older twin sister Patty & Bob Kiser, mother-in-law Maude Sower, nephew Rob & Shelly Kiser, niece Renee & Jayson Johnson, and her “adopted” brother Curtis Sower.  Penny was preceded in death by her husband:  Peyton R. “Pat Sower;  her parents Robert and Ruth Johnson;  her two brothers Ralph William Johnson and Richard Arnold Johnson.
