Pauline Moro passed away peacefully with family at her side on April 11, 2018. She was a magnificent 94 years young. She was born in Oklahoma and was the oldest of 10 children. She married her sweetheart, Nick Moro, in 1942 and started a family in Walla Walla, Washington. She and her husband homesteaded in the Purple Sage area in 1951 and continued to raise and grow their family on their dairy and farm. She was preceded in death by her husband Nick Moro, her only son Dennis Moro, her grandson Michael Moro, her parents, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by five of her six children, Nikki Sexton, Barbara Benson, Pamela Henderson, Melissa (Kenneth) Stringfield, and Sherri (Dan) Whitted; 11 grandchildren, Brad Sexton, Shane Sexton, Chip Brown, Kayliene Smoot, Tina Willis, Melanie Huber, Kimberly Cathcart, Sara Stringfield, Lucas Stringfield, Jordan Stringfield, and Quinlan Stringfield; 26 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was the sweetest, loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother as well as a friend to all she met.
Flowers or other remembrances can be sent to The Cottages in Meridian where she resided for the last two years. Private memorial services will be held in Cascade. The family would like to thank the staff and crew at The Cottages in Meridian for their consistent, professional, and loving care of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
