P. Allan SchamberFebruary 3, 1938 ~ July 10, 2017 (age 79)
P. Allan Schamber, 79 of Middleton, ID passed away July 10, 2017 at home surrounded by his family who truly loved him. Allan fought a long battle with cancer and heart disease with a positive attitude and spirit. Allan was born on February 3, 1938 in Henry, NE to Rose and Harry Schamber. Three additional siblings made the family complete. Allan moved to the Treasure Valley in 1945. He married Nadine Garner in October 1958 and they raised four children in Middleton. Allan retired from West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, ID as an X-Ray Technician. Allan enjoyed spending time in the mountains, fishing, hunting, farming and tinkering in his shop. He taught his children how to live off their land by teaching them gardening, how to preserve it, milking cows to make butter, raising chickens and swine. It gave him great pleasure to have a table set with home grown food. His favorite food group was ice cream. He loved being “Papa” to his four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Above all he had a love for the Bible and his God, Jehovah.
Allan is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Nadine: his children: Steven Schamber, Cassie Schamber, Terry Schamber (Pam) and Wendy Craig (Dee); four adored grandchildren: Tyler Craig (Kali), Maranda Schamber, Austin Schamber and Teela Marston (Matt); three great grandsons: Radley Craig, Ryder Craig and Diesel Marston; brother Tom Schamber; sister Judi Schamber and sister in law Terri Schamber. Allan was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gene Schamber.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1702 Marble Front Rd., Caldwell, ID on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Please visit Allan’s online memorial at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com where you can leave a condolence message for his family.
