Manilla June Corse Wood, 89, of Nampa, died on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at a Nampa care center. Manilla was born in Seattle, WA to Warren and Edith (Fullmer) Jones on March 7, 1928. She graduated from High School in Bell Gardens, CA. She met and married Francis (Frank) Corse at age 16; they were happily married in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple for 58 years before Francis passed. They were blessed with 5 children: Michael, Earl, Warren, Mark, and Gail. Manilla was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Manilla held many positions including being Relief Society President 4 times, and she loved going to the Temple. Her hobbies included being social with everybody, and reading. Later in life she married again to Donald H. Wood, they were married for 7 years. His family said Manilla always made him happy until he passed.
Manilla is survived by her children: Mark (Teresa) Corse, Gail (David) Tiede, daughters-in-law: Sherrell Corse, Margaret Corse, 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many other family members. She is preceded in death by Parents, Husbands: Francis Corse and Donald Wood, three sons: Michael Corse, Earl Corse, Warren Corse, Seven brothers and sisters. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 12:00-1:00 PM , and her funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the LDS Church, 2212 E. Amity Ave, Nampa, Idaho.
