Welcome to the memorial page for

James "Jim" Alfred Thompson

May 29, 2017

The Piano Brothers

James (Jim) Alfred Thompson passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Monday, May 29, 2017. He was born December 6, 1945 to Marie Antoinette Arnaiz in Hollywood, California. Jim was adopted at a young age, by his incredible Step-Father, Iven Thompson.

On March 10, 1970 he married the love of his life, Ina. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Idaho where they called home. Jim loved to fish, bird hunt and enjoyed beautiful Idaho. He collected all kinds of ‘treasures’ that only he knew the value of. He was a charismatic, proud, loyal to a fault man. Jim loved his family and friends dearly, especially his wife. He attributed everything amazing in his life to her. Anytime he spoke of his children, grandchildren, aunts/uncles, and cousins, he would glow.

Survivors include: Wife, Ina; son, Zack and Sonja Thompson of Caldwell, Idaho; daughter, Vanessa and Greg Dancer of Meridian, Idaho; son, Iven Thompson of Chicago, Illinois; six grandchildren: Sam, Drew, Alex, Trey, Olivia and Nash;  his niece, great nieces, nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his sister, Nancy; his brother, Mike; nephew, Michael and father in law.

Jim’s life will be celebrated on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation toward a Cerebral Palsy Organization of your choice. Condolences can be given at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com
