  On Friday, May 5, 2017 Everett “Hap” F. Jensen passed at his beloved home.  He left this world with dignity, grace and knowing he was loved by his family and many friends.  Hap was born July 22, 1930 in Bird City, Kansas to Lesley and Viola Jensen.

  He joined the service in 1949 and began his tour of duty in 1951 (Korean War).  After his discharge he immediately enlisted in the Idaho Air National Guard which he served faithfully for 40 years.  He retired in 1990 with the rank of Master Sargent.  During this time he began his life long career with Mountain Bell Telephone & Telegraph Company.  He fulfilled many conversations in southern Idaho and the Boise area.  He retired after 43 years as central office tech at the Caldwell.

  He married the love of his life Betty J. Luster in 1951, and had 65 great years together before his passing.  During this incredible time two daughters, Patricia Y, Kareen D. and son Randall S. were born to them.

  Hap is survived by his wife, daughters, son and his wife Trinette, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sister Patrisia A. (Jim) Sturgis; brother Robert (Evelyn) Jensen; brother-in-law Walter Sturgis, sister & brother-in-law Carol & Terry Johnson, Marlene & Joe Jepko and Helen Grove.  He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Reed and Sylvia Luster, sisters Dorothy and Barbara and brothers Stanley, Delmer, and Earl.

  As per Hap’s wishes, cremation was under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, and no further services are planned at this time.
